Iowa names SP for Big Ten Tournament matchup with Michigan State

Michigan State and Iowa are set to square off in a Big Ten Tournament matchup on Wednesday, with the winner moving on to the single elimination portion of the tournament to face USC.

Ahead of Michigan State’s game with the Hawkeyes, the social media for Iowa appears to have released the starting pitcher for tonight’s affair. Hawkeye senior Joe Husak appears to be getting the ball against the Spartans. A reliever for most of the year, this likely means the Hawkeyes are planning a bullpen day.

In 21 appearances, Husak is sporting a 6.52 ERA. He pitched once against MSU this year, going 1.2 innings, not allowing a run and just giving up one hit.

The game is slated for a 6 p.m. start on the Big Ten Network.
