How did Gull Lake, Harper Creek do at Division 2 state golf championships?

BATTLE CREEK – Gull Lake’s team and Joey Mario of Harper Creek, individually, competed against the best in the state at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 boys golf finals at Bedford Valley Golf Course on Saturday, June 7.

Gull Lake finished sixth overall as a team, shooting a score of 622 overall for the two-day event. Senior Hank Livingston led Gull Lake by taking 24th overall. Livingston shot a 74 on Friday and a 80 on Saturday. Junior Luke Coffinger was 28th with a 155. Joseph Blondia took 37th with a 79 on Friday and 78 on Saturday.

Grand Rapids Christian shot a 584 to win the state championship.

Harper Creek’s Mario shot an 82 on Friday and an 86 on Saturday to take 77th overall.
