Google rolls out ‘preferred sources’ feature. How to add The Sault News

Want to see more of the sites you love, specifically sooeveningnews.com? Google’s newest feature allows you to customize your search experience to see more from your favorite sites.

Earlier this month the tech company announced they will let you “select your favorite sources and stay up to date on the latest content from the sites you follow and subscribe to — whether that’s your favorite sports blog or a local news outlet.”

Here’s how to add The Sault News to your “preferred sources.”

Google’s ‘preferred sources’ feature explained

Launched on Aug. 12, the feature allows you to curate, or filter, your news experience by source preference.

Any time you run a query or a keyword through the search engine, with say The Sault News as the preferred source, then you’ll only see the latest content about the topic from The Sault News. (The same goes for any other news site.)

According to Google, you can add, or change your preferred sources any time.

“When you select your preferred sources, you’ll start to see more of their articles prominently displayed within Top Stories, when those sources have published fresh and relevant content for your search,” Google said.
