Ford stock dipped last week, but shareholders to get dividend

General Motors saw its stock rise a bit, but Jeep-owner Stellantis and Ford Motor Co. had stock prices drop for the week ending Friday, Feb. 20.

Stock prices fluctuated during the week, of course. Detroit Three stock results below are based on Yahoo Finance historical data and do not reflect dividends.

How did General Motors stock perform from Feb. 13-20?

GM stock closed at $81.51 on Friday, Feb. 20, an increase of 43 cents per share from the close of $81.08 a share on Friday, Feb. 13. That’s a boost of 0.53%.

What about Stellantis’ stock price?

Stock for Jeep-owner Stellantis closed at $7.73 on Feb. 20, a decrease of 2 cents a share from the close of $7.75 on Feb. 13. That’s a drop of 0.26%.

And Ford’s stock price?

Ford stock closed at $14.01 on Feb. 20, down 11 cents a share from the closing price of $14.12 on Feb. 13. That’s a decrease of 0.78%.

Dividends don’t affect the results, but didn’t Ford announce something?

Ford’s board of directors did declare a first-quarter regular dividend of 15 cents per share on the company’s outstanding common and Class B stock, payable on March 2 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 13, according to a news release.

When are the stock markets open?

Regular market hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, but this past week was a short one, with markets closed in the United States on Monday, Feb. 16, for Washington’s Birthday, also known as Presidents’ Day.
