The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend incident at Blissfest Music Festival, during which an adult male suffered severe lacerations to the neck.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the injuries were self-inflicted or the result of an altercation involving another person.
The incident has drawn significant attention online, prompting officials to warn that unsubstantiated rumors and false claims are circulating and have harmed the active investigation.
