A resident was driving north when his vehicle left the road and hit a transmission tower, according to the statement.

Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said they do not expect reckless driving and alcohol to be factors in the crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Other details were not immediately available Monday.
