Detroit Mercy basketball is close to its first NCAA tournament appearance in over a decade, but it needs two more wins before it can reach that mark.
UDM (16-14, 12-8 Horizon), the 3-seed in the Horizon League Tournament, is playing 2-seed Robert Morris (22-10, 13-7) in the conference semifinals at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis on Monday, March 9. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET and the TV channel is ESPN2.
With a win, UDM would advance to play the winner of No. 1 Wright State vs No. 7 Northern Kentucky in the final on Tuesday, which will tip off at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). UDM is looking for its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2012.

Robert Morris, the defending Horizon League champions, will present a difficult task for the Titans, who are just two seasons removed from a 1-31 record that represented the worst campaign in program history.
Robert Morris beat UDM in both regular-season matchups, but UDM can exact revenge with a semifinal win. The Horizon League is expected to get only one bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament, meaning only the winner of the conference tournament will go dancing.
