As rookie Miles Kitselman deals with a leg injury, the Detroit Lions added some tight end help.
The Lions signed former Minnesota Vikings NFL draft pick Nick Muse on Monday. Detroit also announced the release of wide receiver Tarik Black.
Muse, 27, has appeared in 16 career NFL games, though it’s been almost exclusively on special teams. Per Pro Football Focus, Muse has totaled 182 snaps on special teams in 16 games played. Muse has logged 19 offensive snaps in five games in his NFL career.
Muse was originally drafted by the Vikings in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In addition to the Vikings, the South Carolina product has spent time in the Rams, Jets, Eagles and Cardinals organizations.
