Detroit Lions sell out season tickets for 2026

The Detroit Lions sold out of season tickets for the 2026 season on Thursday night, a team spokesperson told The Detroit News.

The Lions’ sale for waitlist members lasted just three days (March 16-19), as more than 4,000 tickets were transferred to new season-ticket holders who were previously on the waitlist.

Since Lions coach Dan Campbell turned the team around in 2022, its first winning season since 2016, tickets to Ford Field have arguably been the hottest in the NFL, with get-in prices for Lions home games serving as huge outliers and often surging above $400 for a single ticket.

According to a survey done by The Action Network that was provided to The Detroit News before the 2025 season, the average cost for a family of four to attend a Lions home game was $1,940 — and that’s just for the tickets.

After going 9-8 and missing the playoffs with a last-place finish in the NFC North, it remains to be seen whether demand on the secondary market continues to soar above most other teams in the league. The prices cited by The Action Network followed two straight division titles.

But as for season tickets, those are still a red-hot commodity. The waitlist for season tickets now sits at around 20,000 people, the spokesperson said.
