Dearborn — The Dearborn Homecoming Festival continues Saturday with a full day of carnival rides, local entertainment, food and arts activities — capped by a performance from country music star Martina McBride and nighttime fireworks.
The 45th annual festival runs noon to 10:30 p.m. at Ford Field Park, 22051 Cherry Hill Road. Admission is free, though carnival rides require tickets or wristbands.

Martina McBride tops Saturday’s lineup
McBride takes the Sunset Stage at 8:45 p.m., following country singer Alexandra Kay at 7:05 p.m. and Audrey Ray at 6 p.m. The evening’s concert program will be followed by fireworks at about 10 p.m.
Martina McBride is a country music star known for hits including “Independence Day,” “A Broken Wing,” “Wild Angels,” “This One’s for the Girls” and “Anyway.” She broke through in the 1990s and has remained one of country music’s most celebrated female vocalists.

Beyond the concerts
Festivalgoers can also browse the Vendor Village, visit the Arts District for free crafts and live painting, explore the Food Truck Corridor and take in carnival attractions. The midway operates from noon to 9 p.m.; same-day unlimited-ride wristbands are listed at $37.
Families should note that minors under 18 must be with a parent or guardian after 4 p.m., according to the city.
Chance the Rapper appears Sunday
Dearborn Homecoming wraps up Sunday with the Dearborn Decades 5K, another full day of carnival rides, food, vendors and family activities — and a closing-night performance by Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Chance the Rapper.
The festival opens at noon at Ford Field Park, with the carnival running until 9 p.m. Chance the Rapper is scheduled to perform at 8:45 p.m. on the Sunset Stage, followed by the festival’s final fireworks show at about 10 p.m. Admission is free.
The Dearborn Decades 5K also returns Sunday morning, giving runners a chance to take part in the final day of the city’s 45th annual Homecoming celebration before the afternoon and evening entertainment begins.
