Clinton Twp. man, 33, jailed after Milan Township road rage incident

A 33-year-old Clinton Township man was arrested after a freeway shooting that occurred Saturday, May 30 on US-23 in Milan Township, according to a Monroe Post of the Michigan State Police news release.

At about 7:40 p.m., troopers responded to a possible freeway shooting at northbound US-23 and Mile Marker 20.

“Monroe County Central Dispatch received a call from a 53-year-old man from Clinton Township, who was in a 2012 Hyundai with five other members of his family. The caller said he was involved in a road rage incident when the suspect presented a pistol from his semi-truck and began firing it in their direction while following them. Troopers arrived on scene and conducted an on-scene investigation,” according to the news release.

The 33-year-old man from Clinton Township was driving a 2019 Peterbilt semi-truck. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Monroe County Jail, according to the news release.

This incident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police. The state police Police were assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Village of Dundee Police Department and Monroe Central Dispatch.
