The Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Monday, Sept. 22 in Inverness Township.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash, located on Riggsville Road near Woiderski Road about 6:11 p.m. A 50-year-old Cheboygan man was pronounced dead on the scene, despite life-saving efforts.
The crash investigation is ongoing, though preliminary findings suggest speed and wet road conditions could have contributed to the crash, according to a press release from Cheboygan County Sheriff Todd Ross.
“The Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to the family and friends of the victim,” Ross wrote in the release.
