Brady Forys, DCFC West: Saved three of five shots during a penalty-kick shootout to help his U-13 club win the Canton Cup tournament.
Landin Bonnell, Detroit Catholic Central: One day after emergency surgery, struck out six during a 5-3 win over Northville in the Division 1 baseball regional semifinal.
Liam Friest, Northville: Pitched six innings and struck out two during a 5-3 loss to Detroit Catholic Central in the Division 1 baseball regional semifinal. Allowed five hits, one earned run and no walks. Also doubled.
Emma Wyciskalla, Bloomfield Hills Marian: Scored twice in a 6-0 win over Waterford Kettering in the Division 2 girls soccer regional final.
Timothy Delzer, Cranbrook: Shot rounds of 79 and 70 for a two-day 149 to place 11th individually in the Division 2 boys golf state finals, helping Cranbrook win the team title.
Yousef Darwich, Detroit Country Day: Shot rounds of 77 and 79 for a two-day 156 to place 31st individually in the Division 2 boys golf state finals.
Rocco Iacobelli, Brother Rice: Shot rounds of 71 and 74 for a two-day 145 to place seventh individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals, helping Brother Rice place second.
Jack Whitmore, Detroit Catholic Central: Shot rounds of 76 and 69 for a two-day 145 to place seventh individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals, helping Catholic Central win the team title.
Wyatt Reid, South Lyon: Shot rounds of 76 and 73 for a two-day 149 to place 20th individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals, helping South Lyon place 13th.
Colin Riehl, Novi: Shot rounds of 70 and 73 for a two-day 143 to place fourth individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals, helping Novi place 14th.
Cooper Bireta, Walled Lake Northern: Shot rounds of 75 and 75 for a two-day 150 to place 28th individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals.
Gavin Roberts, Walled Lake Western: Shot rounds of 80 and 75 for a two-day 155 to place 49th individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals.
Ryan Tobin Jr., South Lyon East: Shot rounds of 80 and 76 for a two-day 156 to place 54th individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals.
Quinn Kuchman, Birmingham Seaholm: Shot rounds of 80 and 81 for a two-day 161 to place 72nd individually in the Division 1 boys golf state finals.
Lyla Turmell, Walled Lake Northern: Pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts and allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk. Also hit a solo home run in a 10-1 win over Farmington in the Division 1 girls softball regional final.
Katie Cramer, Livonia Stevenson: Went 3-for-4 and drove in a run with a single. She later scored the winning run on a wild pitch in a 3-0 win over Detroit Cass Tech in the Division 1 girls softball regional final.
Mary Gugala, Northville: Pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts and no walks while allowing five hits. She also bunted home the tying run and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in a 2-1 win over Saline in the Division 1 girls softball regional final.
Anna McGavin, Farmington Hills Mercy: Pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts and allowed three earned runs on four hits and two walks. She also went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored in a 4-3 win over Riverview in the Division 2 girls softball regional final.
Cameron Zaid, Walled Lake Central: Closed her season with a monster game against Novi, going 3-for-4 with seven RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base. She hit a grand slam while trailing by five, added a two-run single two innings later and scored the winning run on a passed ball. She was later named all-district.
