Before Camryn Siegers gets in the water for her final high school season, she had something to prove on the national level.
The Holland native and Alabama commit made multiple finals at the Speedo Junior National Championships from Aug. 3-7 in Irvine, California.
Siegers made the A finals in the 100 backstroke and finished eighth with a swim of 1:02.81.
The Holland Christian state champion took 10th in the 50 backstroke with a swim of 29.08 in the B final.
She was seventh in the 100 backstroke in prelims with a swim of 1:02.74.
Siegers took 22nd in the 200 backstroke finals in 2:18.74 and 22nd in the 50 free (26.18).
She finished 26th in the 100 free finals (56.80).
During prelims, Siegers took 12th in the 50 back (29.51). Siegers was 18th in the 50 free (26.26). She took 24th in the 100 free (57.20) in prelims. She was 26th in the 200 backstroke (2:18.52).
Ensing was one of two MLA swimmers competing.
MLA’s Madison Ensing, of Zeeland, took 60th in the 50 free (26.85). 91st in the 200 freestyle (2:08.20) and 116th in the 100 freestyle (58.97).
