The helmet hit dealt by Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White against the Lions made his wallet a little bit lighter.
White took a handoff early in the first quarter, lowered his helmet and initiated contact with Lions safety Erick Hallett. As a result, White was fined $46,371 by the NFL on Saturday. White was not penalized on the play.
White ran for 38 yards on ten rushes and added six yards on four catches in a losing effort. Detroit grabbed the win on Monday night, 24-9.
