Specialty drinks, homemade bagels and ramen are on the menu at Boundless Café.
Formerly the Salty Turtle, Jessica Murbach of Newport took over the business in April 2025 located at 3525 N. Dixie Hwy. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
“We post our menu on Facebook,” Murbach said. “We took over the Salty Turtle, so we were running their same menu while we remodeled and got everything going before we added our stuff to it.”
Drinks include cold and hot brews, pour over, chai and matcha.
Per the menu, “for those who wonder off script and into the rabbit hole,” beverages like Strawberry Fields (orange and strawberry), Mermaid Eyes (pina colada and blue blast), Sand In My Boots (pina colada and pineapple) and Sucker Punch (pink lemonade, rainbow candy and blue razz) are featured among many others.
Red Bull remixes are “fuel for the Mad Hatters.”
Murbach has experience working in the food industry and previously owned a nutrition club.
“Right now, we are mainly coffee and energy drinks,” she said. “We have a ramen bar, which is our main thing. We are still working on the menu.”
Customers can choose from various types of ramen but many opt for the Buldak Carbonara, a spicy cheese flavored ramen.
“We have some with protein, the regular chicken or beef, to fancy, spicy seafood ramen. There are all kinds of different flavors,” Murbach said. “They pick their ramen and then we offer different toppings like steak bites, chicken and crab. We have lots of different seasonings and sauces that you can add to it along with egg, crispy onions, corn and dehydrated vegetables, so you can customize how you would like your bowl to be.”
With two self-serve ramen machines, customers can cook their own ramen. On the wall, there is a wide variety of packaged ramen to choose from.
“The machines measure out the water and have timers, so it stops cooking” she said. “I can always help anyone who is trying it for the first time.”
Murbach said mornings are typically busy at the café and she recently started making bagels, like cheddar cheese bagels with pickle cream cheese, to add to the menu.
“We are hoping to have the breakfast menu ready to go when kids go back to school,” she said. “I love working with the public. Having worked in customer service jobs, I love to be able to interact with the community.”
As the business grows, Murbach hopes to add more staff and expand business hours.
More information about the café is available online along with menu specials.
