The latest in the snack food lineup for Detroit’s Better Made is Crispy White Round tortilla chips. The gluten-free chips are made of just stone-ground corn, vegetable oil and sea salt. “Our Restaurant Style tortilla chips have been very well received, and the new Rounds are the perfect addition to the New Era Tortilla Chip line,” said Better Made Snack Food president Dave Jones in a media alert. “This launch reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, creativity and bringing families together over delicious snacks.” A 10.5 oz bag retails for $3.99 in stores across Metro Detroit. bettermade.com.

New lunch menu at the Beverly

After opening earlier this year with dinner and weekend brunch, the Beverly in Berkley has added more weekday hours and a lunch menu. The menu has oysters, sandwiches, the famous Pigalle burger, mussels, steak frites and salads like a chop salad and artichoke Caesar. Leña adds new items, expands Chef’s Counter

Popular Spanish and European-inspired Brush Park restaurant Leña has expanded its Chef’s Counter experience to six nights a week. Chef Mike Conrad will serve a four-course tasting menu with a view of the open kitchen for $69 per person. Spicy sesame crust at Hungry Howie’s

Madison Heights-based pizza brand Hungry Howie’s has launched spicy sesame, a new and limited-time flavored crust. It’s an added kick to the popular sesame crust with savory spices baked right onto the crust. Find it at participating locations until the end of September. Hungryhowies.com. 

Cloud Boba opens at Sakura Novi

The latest opening at the mixed-use development Sakura Novi is modern tea house Cloud Boba. The 1,300-square-foot space sells premium milk teas, fruit teas, brewed teas, smoothies, slushes, coffee drinks and more, all inspired by Japanese Sakura culture. Detroit City Distillery opens in Lexington

For its first foray outside of Detroit, DCD has opened a bar in Lexington in the former Foley’s Market building, which is owned by the Roxbury Group (David Whitney Hotel, the Monarch, Buhl Bar, etc.). It’s open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily at 7252 Huron, Lexington. Earlier this year, Detroit-area sandwich kings Carlos Parisi and Mike Finsilver announced they opened a sandwich counter at Foley’s.  

Collagen-infused Sorbet Sorority launches

Founded by Dr. Gina Fundaro of Michigan, Sorbet Sorority is a new healthy snack that offers 28 grams of collagen protein in every pint, and is low-calorie, dairy-free and gluten-free. Cherryfest at Busch’s Fresh Food Market

You don’t have to travel to Traverse City this month to enjoy the taste of Michigan cherries. Busch’s is celebrating the season with premium sweet cherries from Third Coast Fruit Co. Caviar Sundae at Sunda New Asian

To celebrate National Caviar Day on July 18, Sunda in downtown Detroit will offer a caviar “sundae” with vanilla ice cream, crispy turon spring roll, Kaluga caviar, ube rice crisp, fruit and ube glaze and more. Realm Cellars tasting at Prime29 Steakhouse

Napa Valley comes to West Bloomfield as Prime29 serves a four-course meal with wine pairings from Realm Cellars, guided by their head sommelier Jacob Brown. 20th anniversary at Vinology

Wine bars are ubiquitous these days, but 20 years ago Kristin Jonna was ahead of the curve when she opened Vinology in downtown Ann Arbor.
