Whether you are looking for a nature walk or a live performance, there’s plenty happening this week in Northern Michigan.
Here’s what we recommend:
Learn how to identify trees
Join Little Traverse Conservancy naturalist Brad Von Blon on a trip around the Seberon “Boo” Litzenburger Nature Preserve to learn how to identify trees in the region.
The walk, from 12-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, will focus on simple ways to distinguish common species and their place in the ecosystem.
The group will meet in the parking area of the nature preserve, located at 5285 Five Mile Creek Road. Participants should dress for the weather and wear shoes that can get muddy.

Attendees will lean about the club members’ various collections with a Q&A to follow. The club is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
