Loitering suspect had weapons and pill packets
Fight at high school leads to assault on police officer

As reported by the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office & Macomb County Prosecutor this week:
On April 22, 2024, at approximately, 7:45PM, Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies were dispatched to Seven Lakes Drive in Washington Township for a report of a suspicious male walking around the neighborhood and loitering in a porta potty. The caller stated that the suspect, 21-year-old Jessie Webber, from Allenton, MI, was allegedly carrying multiple bags and acting unusual.
Upon arrival, deputies observed Webber speaking to a resident. He appeared unsteady on his feet and claimed he was working for a contactor in the subdivision, and he was waiting for a ride.
Webber admitted to having “whip-its” in the porta potty. Webber’s backpack contained a large kitchen knife and ammunition for a .40 caliber handgun. On the suspect’s person, deputies found numerous pills packaged in a manner common for distribution. Fifteen credit/debit cards were also found with multiple different names on them.
Webber was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Macomb County Jail. “I applaud the homeowners for being vigilant about suspicious behavior in their neighborhood,”
Webber was charged with:
• Count 1: Weapons – Carrying Concealed – a five-year felony
• Count 2: Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture – a 4-year felony
• Count 3: Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture – a 4-year felony
• Count 4: Chemical Agents – Prohibited Uses – a 93-day misdemeanor
Webber was arraigned on April 23, 2024, by Judge Andary. Bond was set at $7,500
cash/surety (no 10%). The suspect is currently being held at the Macomb County Jail.

Danasia Kennedy-Johnson, 18, of Eastpointe, will face four charges including Assault with Intent to do great bodily harm, a ten-year felony.
“This suspect was armed and potentially dangerous,” stated Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham. “I applaud the homeowners for being vigilant about suspicious behavior in their neighborhood.”

Mount Clemens – April 24 – A 17-year-old juvenile, 18-year-old Danasia Kennedy-Johnson, and 18-year-old Xavier Tayvione-Demarr Jones were arraigned on multiple counts in connection with a school fight at a Warren high school.
It is alleged that on Monday, April 22, 2024, Kennedy-Johnson and Jones were on school grounds at Lincoln High School with the intentions of fighting a student on a bus. Two Warren Police Officers attempted to arrest Jones when he resisted officers causing them all to fall to the ground. The officers were struggling to bring Jones under control when the 17-year-old juvenile and Kennedy-Johnson assaulted the officer. The officer was admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
Danasia Kennedy-Johnson of Eastpointe was charged with Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder (ten-year felony), Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer Causing Injury (four year felony), Malicious Destruction of Property $200 or More But Less Than $1,000 (one year misdemeanor) and Disorderly Person (90 day misdemeanor). Today, she was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court where District Court Chief Judge John Chmura set bond at $200,000 cash/surety. If released the defendant must wear a GPS tether, and have no contact with any co-defendants, witnesses or Lincoln High School.

Xavier Tayvione-Demarr Jones, 18, of Warren, faces three counts of Assaulting/Resisting/ Obstructing a police office, two-year felonies.
Xavier Tayvione-Demarr Jones of Warren was charged with three counts of Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer (two-year felonies), and Disorderly Person (90- day misdemeanor). Today, he was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court where District Court Chief Judge John Chmura set bond at $75,000 cash/surety. If released the defendant must wear a GPS tether, and have no contact with any co-defendants, witnesses or Lincoln High School.
The 17-year-old juvenile of Eastpointe was charged with Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer Causing Injury (four-year felony), two counts of Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer (two-year felony), Malicious Destruction of Property $200 or More But Less Than $1,000 (one-year misdemeanor) and Disturbing the Peace (90-day misdemeanor). Yesterday, a preliminary hearing was conducted in the Macomb County Juvenile Court where Chief Juvenile Referee Linda Harrison granted the Macomb County Prosecutor’s request to deny bond and hold the juvenile in the Juvenile Justice Center.
“These teens have not only endangered the life of a dedicated officer who risks everything to safeguard our communities but have also shown a blatant disregard for the law. Such unacceptable behavior will be met with the full force of justice, as we ensure that those responsible are held accountable,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
