Learn to Take Great Photos!

Have you ever wondered how photographers capture those amazing nature scenes? 

Did you know you can get high quality photographs using your smartphone?

Learn how to use your phone camera to capture beautiful, eye catching photos at Goodells County Park. Join our Park staff for this free event as we explore the park’s native flower gardens, trails and waterways for some amazing scenic photo opportunities. 

Led by our own Jennifer Catanzaro, Marketing Specialist and professional photographer, we’ll show you how to use your smartphone to create glorious images of nature. The event will be held at Goodells County Park on Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Enter at the North Entrance at 8201 Lapeer Road, Goodells, 48027. Free parking is available in the North Lot. The program will start out at the Visitor’s Center at 10 a.m. and restrooms are available there. 

Kirsten Lyons, Park Naturalist said, “This workshop will have something of interest for beginner through advanced photographers and naturalists, and we can’t wait to show you our favorite picture places and easy techniques for composing and capturing your favorite natural wonders. Jennifer’s work is incredible and she is excited to share some of her skills with you!”  All are welcome at this free and family-friendly event. Dress for the weather. Clothing and footwear that can get wet and dirty are suggested.
