The Lake Huron Medical Center
Port Huron, MI – Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is proud to recognize Terri Vought Gauthier, a Central Processing Technologist in the Central Processing Department, as its February 2026 WOW Employee of the Month.
Terri has been an invaluable member of the Lake Huron Medical Center team for more than 20 years. She was nominated by a fellow employee who recognized her exceptional professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to supporting patient care behind the scenes.
Central Processing plays a vital role in ensuring surgical teams have the sterile instruments and supplies they need to provide safe, high-quality care. In the nomination, a colleague shared:
“Terri works in Central Processing, which is a crucial component of surgery because we get all our sterile supplies from them. Terri is a great team member because she knows exactly what I want when I call for something even if I’m not sure what it is that I want. Occasionally, I will be asked for something that I have no idea what it is, and sometimes not sure what the name of it is (because there are instruments that people have their own names for). She is always able to help me out and always has a hello and greetings for you when you see her in the hallways. Central Processing is a department that doesn’t get enough recognition for the crucial role they play in all areas of the hospital.”
This recognition reflects Terri’s compassionate approach, respectful communication, and strong commitment to patient-centered care – qualities that align with Lake Huron Medical Center’s mission and values.
“At Lake Huron Medical Center, we are proud to recognize employees who go above and beyond to create positive patient experiences,” said Chris Fulks, Interim CEO and Regional CFO of Lake Huron Medical Center. “Terri’s professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness reflects the WOW spirit, and we are grateful for the impact she makes across our organization.”
The WOW Employee of the Month program honors employees who consistently deliver exceptional service and compassionate care to patients throughout the Blue Water Area and surrounding communities To learn more about the programs and services offered at Lake Huron Medical Center, visit www.mylakehuron.com.
