By Barb Pert Templeton

A brand-new fall vendor show is being introduced in Marine City and will take place on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The venue for the special event will be the grounds of the city’s old historic city hall located at 300 Broadway.

The Harvest at Heritage Square show idea was created by Beth Ouellette, the owner and event coordinator with Ouellette Events LLC located in Marine City, MI.

“We pride ourselves on hosting fun, unique, and very friendly vendor shows, and events,” Ouellette said via email.

In fact, Blue Water Healthy Living caught up with Ouellette to pose a few questions about the upcoming event.

Blue Water Healthy Living: Is this the first time a Harvest at Heritage Square Vendor Show is being hosted at old city hall in Marine City?

Beth Ouellette, Ouellette Events. LLC: Yes, this is the first year for Harvest at Heritage Square. It is my original idea.

BWHL: What are the criteria for being a vendor and hosting a booth at the event? Is it limited to certain items like fall only products, or no? Or for example could vendors from the city’s market day participate in this event?

Ouellette: I am open to all types of vendors. Please send an email with your contact information, business name, and what you make and sell. OuelletteEvents@gmail.com Not limited to, but I do highly recommend we stick to the seasonal theme.

BWHL: How many vendor booths can the event accommodate?

Ouellette: We are almost fully booked for the vendor show. We plan to host approximately 85 vendors.

BWHL: Will this event be held outdoors or inside the hall?

Ouellette: Fully outdoors.

BWHL: How about food vendors – will those be setup as well? If so, example of type of food?

Ouellette: We will have a couple food vendors on site. TK Cuisine, Honey Brie Charcuterie LLC, Rocky Mountain Donuts, and more!

BWHL: What other activities beyond the vendor booths will there be – if there are any?

Ouellette: We have a family portrait photo op, by a professional photographer.

BWHL: Will there be any children’s activities that day?

Ouellette: We plan to be in costume/dressed up for fun and also passing out candy.

BWHL: Did the city hire you to do this event?

Ouellette: The city did NOT hire me to host this event. I am doing this for my own events business.

BWHL: Will this event be hosted rain or shine?

Ouellette: Hosted rain or shine.
