Port Sanilac, MI (February 18th) – Egg Hunt Begins Promptly at 12:00 Noon
The Sanilac County Historical Society, in partnership with the Village of Port Sanilac Parks & Recreation, will host the 4th Annual Sanilac Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.
Activities open at 11:00 AM.
The Easter Egg Hunt begins promptly at 12:00 Noon.
Families are encouraged to arrive early so children are in their designated areas before the noon start time.
The event is free and open to the public.
The egg hunt will be divided into three age groups:
- 4 years and under
- 5 through 8 years
- 9 through 12 years
In addition to the hunt, activities will include: - Petting Zoo
- Photo Booth with the Easter Bunny
- Coloring and Craft Activities
- Sack Races with Prizes
- Food Truck on-site: The Hotdog Hut
- Music & open access to walk the Village grounds
Event organizers use a streamlined egg hunt format. Volunteers distribute empty eggs within each age group area. At noon, an alarm signals the start of the hunt. Children collect eggs and then exchange them at the entrance gate for a prepared bag filled with candy and prizes. This system allows the event to remain organized, efficient, and fair for all participants.
Community support is welcome. Donations of candy for prize bags are needed.
Volunteers are also encouraged to assist on the day of the event.
