(Lexington, MI – March 24, 2025) The Blue Water Folk Society (BWFS), a local nonprofit dedicated to promoting acoustic music in the Thumb, today announced a fundraiser concert and the opportunity for matching funds to support Thumbfest 2025.
The 60’s Folk Music Fundraiser Concert will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 7-10pm, at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 5646 Main St. in Lexington.
Grab your bell bottoms, tie dye, and love beads, and come get your hippie on to support Thumbfest 2025! Enjoy a great evening of groovy music from the 60’s, by some of your favorite Blue Water Folk Society performers:

* FREE WILL OFFERING AT THE DOOR * Light refreshments – Guests are invited to bring a plate of cookies for our refreshment table 50/50 drawing Raffle – Donate $25 that evening to be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card to the Lexington Village Theatre and a $50 gift card to The Village Pub
Thanks to the generosity of Thumbfest supporter Mary Glidden, every dollar donated to BWFS, between now and the fundraiser concert on April 12 will be matched, dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of each contribution.
“2024 was a rough financial year for Thumbfest and the future was uncertain for our music festival,” says Marty Malek, event director, “The impact of this matching funds opportunity for our small nonprofit, cannot be overstated, and we are immensely grateful for this gift.
