The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 Past Exalted Rulers Association (PER) presented their (4) annual Educational Assistance Program scholarships recently. The competition was extremely close, and the choices were difficult to make. The PER’s as a group, completed the evaluation process of all applicants. We would like to offer our sincere congratulations to the following students who were selected as the awarded recipients out of the (22) applicants we received.

Congratulations to:
- Rylee E. Thompson – Port Huron High School (Pictured with PER Scott R. Harris)
- Ryan R. Quain – Marysville High School
- Danica C. DeBell – Port Huron Northern High School
- Caiden E. Lohr – St. Clair High School (Pictured with PER’s Paul Torres & Scott R. Harris)

This PER scholarship program is available to graduating local High School Seniors, from six area high schools. Applications are sent out to the school counselors in February with submittal return date the 2nd Monday in May. Students attending college and/or a trade school from our area are awarded a one-time $1,000.00 scholarship through this program. Students are not obligated to use this solely on classroom expenses. It is meant to alleviate financial burdens of attending any of the vocational, college or universities of which they have chosen to attend. Through our year-long fundraisers and activities, the PER Association raises funds for these scholarships and our annual Holiday Baskets for Needy families.
Once again, congratulations and continued success to these students,
Lodge 343 PER Association
