Recipe of The Day – Whole-Wheat Peanut Butter Bread

Yield: 1-pound loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 -1/3 cup water, or milk if available

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Rub in peanut butter with fingertips, or cut in with fork, until mixture looks crumbly.
  3. Add water.
  4. Stir well mixing only until flour is thoroughly moistened.
  5. Pour into greased loaf pan.
  6. Let stand 20 minutes.
  7. Bake 1 hour in moderate oven.
