Ingredients
- 3 quart grapefruit juice, (about 12 grapefruits)
- 2 quart water
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 quart sugar, (4 pounds)
- 2 quart grapefruit, sections cut in pieces, (about 6 grapefruits)
- 1 quart evaporated milk
Directions
- Combine grapefruit juice, water, lemon juice, sugar and grapefruit sections.
- Freeze to a mush in a 1:6 salt-ice mixture.
- Whip the evaporated milk, which has been thoroughly chilled, and add to the partially frozen mixture.
- Continue freezing until stiff.
