Iniquity

In the Bible the word iniquity is used a number of times…but have you ever thought enough about this word to run it through a dictionary?    

In the Oxford dictionary it reads   “highly unfair or immoral behavior. ” In some Bibles the word “lascivious”” is used in place of ” immoral behavior “, particularly in the older Bibles. 

Immoral behavior is not just confined to the sexual side of life. Believe it or not, it also has to do with the social side of life as well. Many People, both Christian and non- Christians, regardless of Race or Creed, put people in classes…. rich, poor, sick, mentally deficient —you name it. It is PEOPLE regardless.  And this is among the many ‘iniquities” mentioned in the Bible. Yes, the Word of God says iniquities far more times than it says iniquity.

To sum up; anything that takes away from Almighty God is an iniquity. If it wasn’t for a Loving Saviour, we’d be lost.  Think about it, pray about it, and ……

          God  Really Cares

 Yes, God really cares for you—

        He bottles your tears 

                    And

    Writes them in a book.

             He is a friend

              Who sticks 

   Closer than a brother!

  Angels will bear you up

            In their hands

           Lest thou dash

  Thy foot against a stone.

   He is with us in trouble;

 Delivers and Honours us,

       And with long life

            He Satisfies.
