Last week I suggested apostasy as a cause of many failures in Christianity Webster’s dictionary describes apostasy as ‘THE ABANDONMENT OF A PRINCIPAL OR BELIEF.”
What have we abandoned?
Well. Somehow Adam left a spot in the Garden where the snake could get in. He not only abandoned the garden, but he also dropped the ball on protecting His wife.
According to the Bible, all mankind was corrupted…. Chapter 6 in Genesis, Verse 5 reads “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the Earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
In other words, they abandoned all, or nearly all principals.
With Sodom and Gomorrah, it was the same…. abandoned principals. And in every instance down through the centuries…and abandoned Principal leads to ruin in mankind.
If God’s word be true…and I believe it is…. apostasy can only lead to death and destruction
