Our Molly
We have a little four legged child and Molly is her name
She carries lots of baggage but we love her just the same
She came to us, a rescue dog, about nine years ago.
Her early life a mystery that…we really do not know.
We’re told she came from Griswold Road, the dog pound out that way.
And picked her up near Holland from her foster home one day.
Were warned she’s “toy possessive” and she was a little bit,
but once at home it wasn’t long, she became quite a hit!
Health issues soon began to play a big part in her life.
Three eye operations were the cause for lots of strife.
Then in April of Sixteen a blood test showed that, yes,
she was having awful problems with her pancreas.
She’d have to switch to low-fat foods, cut out all table scraps;
get her liver number down and she’d be fine, perhaps.
All was good until that number shot, again, straight up.
Cushings Disease now the problem for our little pup.
Our Molly’s been through many crises, she’ll beat this one too,
with lots of care from daddy, Arthur, and her mommy, Sue.
She is no spring chicken and her time is growing late.
We’re sure our child can dodge this bullet, doggie heav’n can wait.
