Pfc. Alexander Eifert Jr., age 18, US Army, from Port Huron, was killed in battle Jan. 7th, 1945 in France. He is one of hundreds of Saint Clair County military members killed in the service of their country who will be honored by the Blue Water Fallen Heroes Banner Project. As Americans, we should never forget those who died so that we may live in peace and freedom.
The banners are scheduled to be flown around the county the week before and the week after Memorial Day in 2021.

These young men and women are the heroes responsible for the freedom that we enjoy in this country. This very worthy project is still searching for the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this great nation. If you or someone you know has a family member or friend who made that ultimate sacrifice from World War I to the current conflicts, your loved one could be honored next Memorial Day. Please help to locate these sacrifices and their families, so that we may obtain their pictures and information for a banner in their honor.
The Community Foundation of Saint Clair continues to encourage those Gold Star families throughout Saint Clair County to contact our hotline number (810) 985-2007 for an appointment AT NO COST. Please help make it happen. Our heroes deserve to be honored in this very special remembrance.
