FDOT plans closure of this I-75 northbound on-ramp for two nights

The northbound I-75 on-ramp will be closed at Daniels Parkway (exit 131) for crews to remove a barrier wall, complete stripping work and shift traffic to the new temporary northbound on-ramp.

According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the work is part of the ongoing construction of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) at Daniels Parkway and I-75 in Fort Myers.

When will the ramp be closed?: During nighttime/overnight hours of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13.

What is an alternate route motorists can take?: FDOT said in a press release, during the closures, motorists may enter southbound I-75 at Daniels Parkway, exit at Alico Road (exit 128), and use the on-ramp to enter northbound I-75. Motorists are advised to use extra caution and follow the posted detour routes or find alternative routes.
