Riverbank Theatre

Oh, the Drama!!

By Kathleen Knowles

When was the last time you went to the theater? For some, it is on a regular basis. That is because they know of the Riverbank Theatre. If you haven’t been to the theater, you should! Long before there were motion pictures, there were theaters. For many, this is a much better form of entertainment, since it is a live performance by the actors.

In July 2013, the “Snug Theatre” opened in a storefront across from the St. Clair River in Marine City, Michigan. Realizing the Snug was not adequate for large musicals, Riverbank opened in December 2014 in the bank building, which was restored to the magnificence and majesty of the 1920s. It boasts a main floor, mezzanine, and box seating.

In this glorious theater, patrons can appreciate and relish in the “Snug” productions of musicals and comedy plays. There are also special entertainment programs. And, that’s not all! In 2016, Riverbank Youth Theatre was created. They hold Youth Theater Camps and Workshops!

If you have never seen a live performance of this type, now is the time. Riverbank Theatre is proud to present the following performances and events.

• Driving Miss Daisy (through September 22)

• Annie Get Your Gun (September 27 through October 27)

• Snug Bugs Fall Theatre Classes (October 1 through November 5)

• It’s a Wonderful Life (November 22 through December 22)

Where is all this taking place?

At the Riverbank Theatre, located at

160 S. Water St.
Marine City, MI 48039
