The starters for the Buffalo Bills offense only took part in the first quarter–two series worth of football–in the team’s preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers.
The Bills went on to win the contest, 29-14, but at what cost?
Potentially wide receiver DJ Moore.
Moore, who the Bills traded for earlier this offseason, appeared to sustain a lower-body injury on his final snap of the game when he was tackled. Moore talked to the team’s medical staff on the Bills’ sideline after the play.
Following the contest, Buffalo head coach Joe Brady confirmed via video conference what most would figure.
Moore left only did not play after he was injured game because that’s when every other starter, such as quarterback Josh Allen, also departed. Second teamers took over. Brady noted that in an effort to quell any worry.
Brady went on to add he had not spoke to the medical staff by the time he spoke to the media, but Moore personally told Brady he was “good to go,” per the the coach.
