The Ohio State football team is now in the midst of preseason camp, but before that, there were Big Ten media days and some of the media opportunities available. A lot of those media moments fell to head coach Ryan Day, and he has definitely made the rounds. One of the most interesting ones was an appearance on the Pat McAfee show last week.
McAfee always brings a little different flair to his interviews, but that’s one of the reasons ESPN and a lot of followers eat up what he’s feeding them, and having Day on the show was definitely worth the watch. It was a decently long segment touching on wide-ranging topics, and we have the entire session thanks to the Pat McAfee Show YouTube channel.
The guys started by giving Day a hard time about landing at No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Preseason Coaches Poll, but then went through things like Arthur Smith as the new offensive coordinator, what Jeremiah Smith returning to Ohio State means, keeping the culture where it needs to be, how college football has changed, and much more.
As more interviews are made available, whether it’s from the folks at Ohio State and what’s going on during preseason camp, or otherwise, we’ll have it for you. Remember, the Buckeyes kick off their schedule on Sept. 5 when they host Ball State.
