About 100 motorcycles hummed into St. Hedwig’s cemetery in Dearborn Heights on July 13 as the family of Bobby “Kwik” Flowers, along with hundreds of friends and fellow bikers across Michigan, gathered to say goodbye.
The funeral came after a massive community turnout on Friday, July 10, for a takeover of Michigan Avenue near the Detroit Highwaymen Clubhouse. Flowers, 54, died July 7 in a motorcycle crash.
“Bobby was a legend,” said members of the Highwaymen who attended the funeral. They said that after knowing him and his love for the motorcycle community, he will be sorely missed.
