The Michigan football ‘front office’ staff is continuing to expand, with yet another new hire made over the summer months.
The Wolverines had lost some of their behind-the-scenes staff with the Kyle Whittingham era having seen some changes made with the former Utah head coach making changes. For instance, director of player personnel Albert Karschnia was let go, but former Michigan wide receiver and position coach of the same position, Ron Bellamy, took over the post this spring.
And now he’s getting some help.
According to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Michigan football has hired former Eastern Kentucky director of player personnel as an assistant DOPP in Ann Arbor.
Via the Eastern Kentucky website:
Before coming to Richmond, Egan served as a full-time scouting and recruiting intern for Kansas football beginning in August of 2021.
With the Jayhawks, Egan directly assisted offensive coordinators Andy Kotelnicki and Jeff Grimes with prospect evaluation, organizing recruiting trips, and day-to-day recruiting operations.
He also coordinated all game day, unofficial, and official visits for hundreds of prospects across the multiple seasons he was with the Jayhawks.
Additionally, he was Kansas’ point of contact for all transfer portal related documents and information for prospects in the portal.
In the Summer of 2021, Egan served as a training camp intern with the Kansas City Chiefs organizing daily training camp operations.
Egan holds a bachelor’s of science in sport management from the University of Kansas with a minor in business.
He joins several other notable personalities, such as director of recruiting Skylar Phan and director of operations Natalia Benitez-Hilton as new faces in Ann Arbor.
