What time is the 'Big Brother' season premiere? Where to watch, more

It’s expect the unexpected season, because “Big Brother” returns for its 28th season July 9.

The long-running CBS show announced most of its cast earlier this week, and they’ll move into the house during the 90-minute premiere.

Who are the surprise houseguests on ‘Big Brother’?

“Big Brother” introduced 14 of its houseguests July 7, but a press release stated “additional surprise houseguests will be revealed on air,” likely during the premiere July 9.

Sharon Tharp reported that season 26 star Angela Murray is set to return. Murray had many memorable moments on her season, stirring up plenty of drama and finishing sixth. She was also on “The Amazing Race” last year with her daughter, Lexi. They placed 12th.

Entertainment Weekly reported that “Survivor” star Rick Devens is also joining the “Big Brother 28” cast.

Devens, known for chaotic gameplay, finished fourth on “Edge of Extinction” before placing seventh on “Suvivor 50” this year.

Entertainment Weekly also reported a second unnamed “Survivor” star will also compete. The identity of the second person has yet to be confirmed, but various online rumors point to season 45 winner Dee Valladares. She also competed on “Survivor 50” with Devens, finishing 14th, and was on “The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” in 2025.

The theme for season 28 is Time Trip, the show announced in a press release July 1, as “houseguests will enter a world where rooms, relics and competitions transport them across moments in time, while early twists shake up the game from the start.”

New powers and challenges will be inspired by past decades.

New host announced for ‘Big Brother: Unlocked’

The “Big Brother” companion talk show, “Big Brother: Unlocked,” is set to return for season 28 after premiering last year.

Winners Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur are coming back as hosts, and Jerry O’Connell will join them as a celebrity panelist, the show announced June 30.

“This is what we call in showbiz a dream gig. I’ll do my best to be the voice of the fans, but as Julie says, expect the unexpected,” he said in a press release.

“Big Brother: Unlocked” premieres at 8 p.m. ET July 10.

When do ‘Big Brother’ live feeds start?

“Big Brother” live feeds are available on Paramount+ and Pluto at 9 p.m. ET July 10.

Feeds will also go live on YouTube at that time, where they will “be available for limited periods following each episode throughout the summer.”
