Similarly to the Calgary Flames, the Nashville Predators hold the rights to a pair of Spartans taken in the first round of the NHL Draft. Both Ryker Lee and Tommy Blyel will be competing at the Predators development camp.
Lee had a standout freshman season with MSU last year, notching 15 goals along with 15 assists. The No. 26 pick in the 2025 draft has the full Predators attention going into this season. Now, Bleyl will also be a focus of the Predators, going No. 31 in this year’s draft.
After starring in the QMJHL, it appears that Bleyl will be heading to East Lansing for the 2026-27 season. He will look to excel with the Spartans and play his way into the organization.
