Michigan State hockey got their NHL Entry Draft weekend started with a bang when incoming defenseman Chase Reid was selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the draft by the Seattle Kraken. The Chesterfield (MI) native was the first Spartan off of the board.
To no surprise, Reid has made his way over for the Kraken’s development camp. After staring with the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL, getting 88 points in 84 career games, Reid will be making his way to East Lansing for the upcoming season. It is most likely expected that he will be a one and done in East Lansing, but it is possible for him to have a second year in the green and white.
