The United State Postal Service is looking to fill Rural Carrier Associate positions in Perris and Victorville.
Rural Carrier Associates are non-career employees who provide customers a variety of services along a rural route, including delivering and collecting mail and selling stamps, supplies and money orders.
The postal service will host hiring events at the Perris and Victorville post offices between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. Event locations include:
Starting annual salary for rural carrier associates is $21.89 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
Post employees will be in the lobby to provide information about available positions, answer questions and help potential candidates through the application process. A rural carrier associate is a non-career position, which may lead to a career position. RCAs must be available to work on an as-needed basis. The job has an exam requirement, according to officials. Applicants for this posting who do not yet have an exam score are being invited to take the exam. Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger.
The driving must have taken place in the U.S. or its possessions or territories or in U.S. military installations worldwide.
