Acclaimed author Jodi Picoult is coming to Des Moines in September for the book tour of her 30th novel, “Hollow Bones.”
Picoult joined a lawsuit with other authors, Iowa’s largest teachers union and a publisher filed against the state for Iowa’s book ban in 2023. She was last in Des Moines in 2024 for the release of her book “By Any Other Name.”
Hosted by Beaverdale Books, Picoult returns to the Franklin Center on Sept. 23 after she “specifically asked to come back,” according to a news release from the bookstore.
Tickets will include admission for one person, a pre-signed copy of “Hollow Bones,” and a photo with Picoult.
“Hollow Bones” is a novel about “the risks we take to protect the ones we love in a world where crisis is always just around the corner,” according to the release.
Who is Jodi Picoult?
Picoult is a New York Times bestselling author based in New Hampshire, according to publisher Simon & Schuster. Her books include “House Rules,” “Small Great Things,” “Wish You Were Here” and “My Sister’s Keeper,” which was adapted into a movie starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin. The award-winning author is an alumna of Princeton University and Harvard University.
