The ninth and final Michigan State hockey commit was selected in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft when the Boston Bruins selected Cullen McCrate with the No. 216 overall pick in the seventh round.
An Adrian (MI) native, he is expected to join Michigan State 2026-27 as a 6-foot-2, 205 pound right shot defenseman. He spent the last two years with the Fargo Force, and will now be heading to East Lansing to play a pivotal role in an overhauled defense grouping.
The seventh round pick ends the Michigan State draft with nine draftees selected over the two day draft, adding to the number that is already on the roster.
