Zero Latency has left Holland Township. Here's where it's going

Zero Latency has left Holland Township and will reopen in Byron Center this summer inside Grand Rapids Grand Prix.

The free-roam virtual reality business announced via social media June 19 that it will relocate to 8455 Byron Commerce Drive.

Josiah Maat and Brad Taylor, the business’ managers, confirmed the original location has closed, and said the move follows the sale of the franchise license to the owner of GRGP. The site was initially owned by Zachary Rhoda and Benjamin Hulst.

There’ll be a new VR arena on-site, which should be ready by mid-July, according to Maat.

Zero Latency opened in Holland Township in 2022. At the time, it was hailed as Michigan’s first free-roam virtual reality center, with roughly 2,000 square feet of open space for up to eight players and eight games available.

Grand Rapids Grand Prix opened in 2017 and offers go-karts, axe throwing, arcade games and fresh-to-order food.

Zero Latency expressed appreciation for the business’ time in Holland.

“We are happy we had a chance to connect and serve the (community),” the business wrote on Facebook. “We are confident we will be able to create an amazing experience as Zero Latency Grand Rapids.”
