The United States turns 250 this Independence Day, and Greater Cincinnati is ready to celebrate.

Independence Day, which falls on a Saturday this year, marks the country’s 250th birthday. Along with fireworks, grilling and other red-white-and-blue traditions, events marking the nation’s 250th anniversary take place across Greater Cincinnati and beyond.

Colerain Township: 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular with The Whammies, 7 p.m. July 3, Drew Campbell Memorial Commons, 4160 Springdale Road.
