'Wonder Years' star to throw out Dayton Dragons' first pitch

Fred Savage, who starred in “The Wonder Years” from 1988 to 1993, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on June 26 before the Dayton Dragons’ game against the West Michigan Whitecaps at Day Air Ballpark.

Savage worked in the entertainment industry as an actor, director, writer and producer for 40 years.

In 2025, Savage told The New York Times he founded Timepiece Grading Specialists, a watch authentication and valuation company.

Dayton finished the Midwest League first half in first place.

First baseman Carter Graham’s four-hit night June 24 featured his 16th home run of the season in the High-A Dragons’ 12-6 win against the Whitecaps.
