Anton Bonke talks about his decision to transfer to Michigan State

Michigan State basketball did not need much in the transfer portal this offseason, and specifically only needed one addition at the center position. With that lone need, the Spartans landed on Charlotte transfer Anton Bonke.

Bonke, a native of Vanuatu, will be coming to Michigan State after stops at Providence and Charlotte, is a 7-foot-2, 260-pound center that averaged 10.6 points and 8.3 rebounds this past season. He will look to earn the starting center spot this fall.

Now in East Lansing, playing in the annual Moneyball tradition, Bonke spoke to the media for the first time as a member of the Spartan program. He dove into the reasonings he chose Michigan State, his NBA Draft process and his basketball journey that lead him to Michigan State.
