Still have an old Bed Bath & Beyond 20% off coupon tucked away somewhere? It could be worth some real money.

Bed Bath & Beyond is back with 22 new stores and for the next few weeks, the company is offering customers a chance to redeem any old coupons they may still have.

“For decades, our customers treated these coupons like treasure,” Amy Sullivan, president of Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc., said in a press release. “They tucked them into purses, filing cabinets, cookbooks and memory boxes because they believed they would be valuable someday. We think they were right.”

In Bed Bath & Beyond’s Legendary Coupon Hunt, customers can not only use them again for a limited time, they also could win a home makeover worth $100,000.

Bed Bath & Beyond offering $100,000 home makeover for oldest 20% off coupon

The company’s Legendary Coupon Hunt is designed to uncover the oldest surviving Bed Bath & Beyond coupon in the United States.

Through July 13, 2026, customers can bring any Bed Bath & Beyond coupon to participating Bed Bath & Beyond + The Container Store and Kirkland’s Home locations nationwide. Whether expired, faded or decades old, every coupon will be honored and will become an entry to win the grand prize, a $100,000 home transformation. Additional prizes include $500 gift cards awarded to 100 winners, and $100 gift cards awarded to 50 winners.

Nearly three years after closing all its stores after filing for bankruptcy, Bed Bath & Beyond is making a comeback in partnership with The Container Store.

The company recently announced has opened 22 new Bed Bath & Beyond + The Container Store locations, the first phase of a nationwide expansion plan according to a June 18 press release. The rollout follows the successful launch of the company’s first co-branded store in Texas.

And one of the stores is in Columbus.

According to Bed Bath & Beyond’s store locator, Columbus has one The Container Store, located at 4184 Easton Gateway Drive. The Container Store has two other Ohio locations, in Cincinnati at 5901 E. Galbraith Road and another in suburban Cleveland at 2101 Richmond Road, Beachwood. It is not known when or if these stores will convert to the new format.

How many stores did Bed Bath & Beyond have in Ohio?

In 2022, before it started closing stores during its 2023 bankruptcy, Bed Bath & Beyond operated 25 stores in Ohio, according to the data website Statista.

In 2020, the retailer announced plans to close 200 stores (about 21% of its total locations) from 2020 to 2022, including several in Ohio.
