The FSU softball program has seen five players enter the transfer portal this offseason, and two are still looking for their next school.
While shortstop Isa Torres (Texas Longhorns) and outfielder Addie DeLong (Ohio State Buckeyes) are both headed back to their home states, third baseman Jaysoni Beachum, catcher Danika Spinogatti, and pitcher Mimi Gooden are still available in the portal. The portal officially closed on Monday, but players will likely be entering until Wednesday as schools have 48 hours to process the paperwork.
Beachum is one of the top players to enter the portal this offseason and has visited several teams across the country, including the Florida Gators, but has yet to find her new home. The former All-American is entering her final season of eligibility.
The Tallahassee native is ranked as the No. 4 overall player and No. 1 corner infielder in the portal by Softball America. She has a grade of 97.00, and former Louisville Cardinal outfielder Madison Pickens is the only uncommitted player ranked higher.
Beachum ended her FSU career with a .375 batting average, 37 home runs, 35 doubles, 180 RBI, 158 runs scored, and 202 hits. She has a .654 slugging percentage and a .492 on-base percentage. She also plays excellent defense at third, where she has a career fielding percentage of .956.
Gooden did not play during the 2026 season, taking a redshirt after playing in her first two seasons in Tallahassee, and will have two seasons of eligibility at her new school. She played 35 games for the Seminoles, finishing with a 4.39 ERA in 67 innings pitched. Opponents hit .291 off her and drew 22 walks to 33 strikeouts.
Spinogatti also redshirted in 2026 after suffering a season-ending injury before the freshman season. She will have four seasons of eligibility at her next school. While she has not yet played in a collegiate game, she was a key member of FSU’s 2025 recruiting class.
