If you didn’t know already, the Philadelphia Phillies have a pretty big Ohio State fan on their team, and it’s none other than All-Star first baseman Bryce Harper. His ties to the Buckeyes come from the marriage of his spouse, Kayla, who played soccer for OSU. He married her in 2016 and became a huge fan, even appearing on College GameDay as a celebrity guest picker for the Buckeyes.
Harper has not been shy about his fandom for all things Scarlet and Gray, often sporting OSU gear and flashing O-H-I-O from time to time, even on the baseball field. On Saturday, it went even further and came more into the limelight because he hit for the cycle for the first time in his career.
And while that’s great and fun, the fact that he did it while wearing an Ohio State bandana the entire game was even sweeter.
